VETERINARY TECHNICIAN

- Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service at all times. This includes completing preparatory work for other procedures, ensuring that clients and pets are comfortable in the clinic.
- Ensure the safety of pets, clients and associates by utilizing safe restraining techniques, following standard protocols, and maintaining clean, sanitary and organized treatment areas, exam rooms and labs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Two years’ experience as a veterinarian technician.
- Must possess proper animal handling and restraint skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old to perform duties including radiography (x-ray).
- Able to stand, walk, stop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 45 pounds.
- High School diploma
The candidates for this position may be exposed to a variety of pets that may bite or scratch, and on occasion, exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards and medication/controlled substances.

VETERINARY OFFICE ASSISTANT
South 40 Veterinary Hospital, a small animal clinic, and boarding facility in south College Station are searching for an experienced full-time Veterinary Office Assistant.
Our hospital will offer routine, urgent, and emergency care such as wellness exams, full medical and rehab services, diagnostic imaging, surgical/non-surgical treatments, and canine boarding. Located in the fastest growing part of College Station, Texas South 40 Veterinary Hospital is proud to bring the community and surrounding areas a high level of personal care and customer service to its clients and their pets.
The Veterinary Office Assistant will focus on client customer service and communication. Their contact with the client is key to creating first and lasting impressions. The ideal candidate will:
- Ensure that clients and patients have a positive experience when they visit.
- Greet clients and pets by name.
- Have a friendly attitude towards clients and staff.
- Show confidence in handling multiple tasks in sometimes stressful situations.
- Support veterinarians, technicians, and other staff in patient and client care.
- Easily communicate with clients in person and by phone and e-mail.
- Schedule appointments and surgeries according to scheduling guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
Two years experience as an office assistant in a veterinary (or similar) setting.
High School degree
Preferred Expereience:
Has worked with Ezyvet Practice Management Software
Occasional Saturday shifts are required from 7:30 am-12 pm, this will involve a half day off during the weekdays.
